Both our sites are accredited to the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety by SAI Global. They are regularly audited by both the Retail and Manufacturing Customer Technical Teams, with direct approval to supply being held for several of the UK’s major retailers.
Holmesterne has a dedicated technical team with a collective experience of over 100 years in Food Manufacturing. The team members are attached to their individual sites but are experienced enough to provide cover across all the Company’s production facilities when necessary.
The company operates to a rigid HACCP system and has an extensive Food Safety & Quality Manual to ensure that all our products comply with both legislation and our customer requirements.
Both sites are registered on SEDEX, the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange. All SEDEX Member customers can therefore be given access to our records.
Our head office is located in Brompton-on-Swale from where we also operate a raw product manufacturing base. At this site we are licensed by the FSA Veterinary staff with site code UK 2364 EC
Leeming Bar is our High Care cooked products facility and is licensed by our Local Authority with code number HN018 UK. It also houses our High Risk Ready to Eat facility for Ambient Ready Meals, and is also accredited to manufacture Red Tractor labelled Beef and Chicken products.
As members of Campden BRI we have a place on the Heat Preserved Foods panel. Holmesterne is committed to food quality and safety throughout all our process steps to ensure only the finest produce is delivered to our customers.
